• Wear appropriate training attire (karate gi or approved training clothing)
• Maintain personal hygiene and ensure fingernails and toenails are trimmed
• Remove all jewellery before training for safety
• Arrive on time for classes and notify us of planned absences when possible
• Never use karate techniques outside of training except in genuine self-defence situations

Karate training involves physical activity that carries inherent risks. By participating in our training:

• You acknowledge that karate training involves physical contact and risk of injury
• You confirm that you are physically fit to participate in training
• You must inform instructors of any medical conditions, injuries, or limitations
• You agree to follow all safety instructions given by instructors
• You should consult a medical professional before beginning training if you have health concerns

Emergency contact information must be kept up to date in your member profile.

Parents or guardians signing up minors accept these terms on behalf of their children.

All content on the Japan Karate Academy Shitokai website, including but not limited to:

• Text, images, graphics, and logos
• Training videos and instructional content
• Website design and layout
• Member-exclusive content

is the property of Japan Karate Academy Shitokai or its content suppliers and is protected by Australian and international copyright laws.

You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, or create derivative works from any content without our express written permission.

From time to time, photographs or videos may be taken during training sessions and events for use on our website, social media, or promotional materials.

• By participating in training, you grant us permission to use photographs or videos in which you appear for promotional purposes
• If you do not wish to be photographed, please inform an instructor before the session
• Parents or guardians may opt out of media use for their children by notifying us in writing
